Baden-Baden-Iffezheim, July 13, 2026 (SB) – A highly successful partnership will continue in 2026: WETTSTAR remains the title sponsor of the most important race at the Baden-Baden|Iffezheim racetrack—the WETTSTAR.de – 156th Baden Grand Prix. Germany’s leading horse betting provider is once again supporting this historic Group 1 race, which was named Germany’s Race of the Year last year and was the only domestic race to rank among the top 100 races of 2025.
The prize money for this 2,400-meter race, which will be held on September 6, 2026—the final day of the “Große Woche” (August 29–September 6)—totals 300,000 euros. The owner of the winning horse will receive 165,000 euros. This is Germany’s most important Grand Prix race for top-class horses aged three and older. Currently, 43 horses are eligible to compete in the WETTSTAR.de – 156th Baden Grand Prix, including a large contingent of international star thoroughbreds led by defending champion Goliath, as well as numerous top contenders from local racing stables.
