Badische Wirtschaft meets Herzenssache e.V.

Already at the premiere of the Spring Meeting about 40 years ago, the Grand Prix of the Baden Economy was the sporting highlight of this race week.

It serves as a preparation for the big international races in Europe for the 4-year-old and older horses.

The list of winners includes such outstanding horses as Star Appeal (winner of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in the same year), Acatenango (winner of the Grand Prix de St.Cloud, Grand Prix of Baden in the same year) and Danedream (winner of the King George and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and Grand Prix of Baden in the same year), as well as Novellist (winner of the Prix de St.Cloud, King George and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and Grand Prix of Baden in the same year).

Baden Galopp would like to further promote the cooperation of companies from the region for the Grand Prix of the Baden Economy.

The idea is not only to secure and support the gallop races in Iffezheim financially in the long term, but also to promote charitable projects in the nearby area.

In 2022, the starting signal was given for the cooperation with the non-profit organization Herzenssache e.V. which came closest to our desire for help and support in our region. The focus is on children's aid projects.

With the first proud donation amount of 10.000 € 2 projects were supported.

"Herzenssache e.V." - that's the children's aid campaign of SWR, SR and Sparda-Bank. We take care of children and young people in Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. Protecting, supporting and strengthening - that is our mission. Herzenssache helps where it burns. With the aim of ensuring that children and young people living in southwestern Germany have equal opportunities in the long term."

Herzenssache is under the patronage of Hartmut Engler. Together with his band PUR, the successful singer is campaigning for children and young people in the southwest.

In December 2013, Hartmut Engler took over the patronage from former Baden-Württemberg Minister President Lothar Späth.

As a partner and supporter of the charity project "Badische Wirtschaft meets Herzenssache e.V." , we look forward to welcoming you and your guests to the racecourse on the day of the event.

The supporters of the Baden economy are also the patrons/ladies of the main event of the day. We will accompany you for a visit to the Führring, there you will choose together the most beautiful horse in the Führring. In the garden of our club tower you can watch the race with the best view of the finish.

The presentation of honorary prizes by the supporters and the presentation of checks to the foundation representatives are on the program afterwards. Some joint photos and an interview with the foundation are planned for the reporting.

The official program will be rounded off by a champagne reception with the winning team.
