Special offers during the big week
Baden-Baden-Iffezheim, August 27, 2025 (SB) - In addition to all the sporting attractions during the Big Week, there will also be two special events for owners.
On the one hand, Gestüt am Schlossgarten, supplier to BBAG, is setting a special example for the promotion of German thoroughbred breeding and domestic racing:
At the start of the Big Week, a bonus of 500 euros each will be paid to the owner and trainer of the winning horse, provided the following conditions are met:
- the horse was sired by a stallion stationed in Germany at the time the dam was covered,
- it was born in Germany,
- and training takes place in Germany.
The premium is awarded in selected age-weight races - with the exception of group, Listed and auction races - as well as in equalizing races until the total amount of 5,000 euros has been reached. The races are marked in the race program.
If the total amount has not been used up by the end of the Big Week, the promotion will be continued at the Sales & Racing Festival.
With this initiative, Gestüt am Schlossgarten aims to strengthen German thoroughbred breeding and at the same time offer owners and trainers an additional incentive to use their horses bred and trained in Germany in local racing.

Secondly, at the Stall Siepenblick 2.8., the Listed race on August 30, on the initiative of Stall Siepenblick owner Lothar Grabe, the owner of the winning horse will probably have the opportunity for the first time to choose one of two possible honorary prizes. One prize is of a more practical nature, the other more decorative. It will be interesting to see what the owner chooses.
