The ladies' top day around the T. von Zastrow Mare Prize
Baden-Baden-Iffezheim, September 04, 2025 (MH) - Ladies Day on day four of the Great Week 2025 on Saturday at the racecourse in Baden-Baden-Iffezheim: Naturally, the main event is dedicated to the ladies - the T. von Zastrow Stutenpreis under the patronage of the von Zastrow family. The Group II race over a distance of 2,400 meters with a purse of 70,000 euros is regarded as one of the most important mare races in Germany and once again attracts top-class three-year-old and older ladies.
The magic word is "Black Type"; if the horse is placed in such an event, its name appears in bold print in the auction catalog, which is important for the breeding value.
Diana-Revanche
None other than Gestüt Park Wiedingen's Santagada (A. Starke) was named by trainer Peter Schiergen. In 2024, she won her first of three group tests to date in the 151st Renate und Albrecht Woeste - Zukunfts-Rennen. Most recently, she probably failed to finish sixth in the Henkel-Preis der Diana.
With Innora (L. Delozier), Nyra (T. Hammer-Hansen) and Lady Charlotte (A. de Vries), the second, third and fifth from the mare derby are also in the field. The second Park Wiedinger in the field, Egina (L. Wolff), is known in Iffezheim as the winner of the Baden-Badener Hotellerie & Gastronomie Prize against North Reliance (S. Byrne). Iffezheim trainer Gerald Geisler will also attack with El Sur Racing's Tanami Starlet (A. v. d. Troost). A year ago, Tiffany's victory went to England.
WACKENHUT Fillies Cup with a sensational field
The mares will also be the focus of interest in the supporting program of the nine races starting at 1:30 pm. The WACKENHUT Fillies Cup (Listed race, €25,000, 1,400 m) features a sensational field of 18 ladies from England, France and Germany. Here, the hopes of the local training center rest on Stall Turffighters Pershing from the stable of Gerald Geisler.

The two-year-old mares are rehearsing for the top event at the Sales & Racing Festival on October 19 at Gestüt Etzean Winterkönigin Trial (€10,000, 1,400 m).
Of course, the betting offer is also varied with three four-horse bets and a guaranteed payout of 10,000 euros each in races 3 (level IV, 2,200 m), 5 (Listed race) and 9 (level III, 1,400 m). 10,000 euros are up for grabs in the V4 bet in races 6 to 9.
