Race of the Year 2025
The title of best German race in 2025 goes to Iffezheim! The 155th WETTSTAR.de Grand Prix of Baden is at the top of German horse racing according to the international classification of all races. It is also the only German race to make it into the list of the top 100, which lists the most important races worldwide. The races are ranked based on the average rating of the first four horses to finish, which in the case of the Grand Prix of Baden are Goliath, Dubai Honour, Straight, and Alleno. Stephan Buchner, managing partner of racecourse operator Baden Galopp, is delighted: "This is a great honor for us and very important for the international reputation of the Baden-Baden|Iffezheim racecourse in general and the Baden Grand Prix in particular. The only slight disappointment is the last-minute withdrawal of Hochkönig and Rebels Romance, otherwise the race's rating would probably have been even better. However, Goliath's third place in the Hong Kong Vase has once again drawn attention to our season highlight."
The 156th Grand Prix of Baden will be held on September 6, 2026.
