Press release
Race of the Year 2025
The title of the best German race of 2025 goes to Iffezheim! The 155th WETTSTAR.de Baden Grand Prix ranks at the top of German horse racing according to the international classification of all races. It is also the only German race to make it onto the Top 100 list, which features the most important races worldwide. In the race classification, the average of the so-called ratings of the top four finishers is calculated—in the case of the Baden Grand Prix, these were Goliath, Dubai Honor, Straight, and Alleno. Stephan Buchner, managing partner of the racetrack operator Baden Galopp, is delighted: “For us, this is a great honor and very important for the international reputation of the Baden-Baden|Iffezheim racetrack in general and the Baden Grand Prix in particular. The only slight disappointment is the last-minute withdrawal of Hochkönig and Rebels Romance; otherwise, the race’s rating would likely have been even higher. However, Goliath’s third-place finish in the Hong Kong Vase has once again emphatically drawn attention to our highlight of the season.”
The 156th Baden Grand Prix will be held on September 6, 2026.
